“Without Keelyn, I’m pretty sure we would have eloped or married in court! I find planning events and making decisions stressful and overwhelming. I knew I needed a planner, and when I met Keelyn, I knew it was the right fit! She listened and made me feel like everything was under control. Keelyn took my all-over-the-place ideas and put them together in the perfect way.
I woke up on my wedding day and didn’t have to worry about anything! Instead of stressing about decor, flowers, vendors, the weather, etc… I was sipping champagne and enjoying my morning with the bridal party. The same goes for Brian; we didn’t lift a finger, and there was nothing to stress us out. Keelyn and her team were there to sort out any problems or questions leading up to and on the wedding day. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect, love filled, stress free day.

Naturally Beautiful at Boschendal
Kit and Brian’s Wedding by I Do Box
Kit and Brian’s wedding at Boschendal was of natural elegance, filled with family, friends and lots of love. The bride and groom come from a farming background, and they really wanted a wedding that felt natural, simply beautiful, and welcoming to their guests.
The couple’s wedding vision
“I wanted something beautiful but relaxed, using soft colours and natural textures like linen, raffia and rattan throughout. We wanted to merge my desire for beauty and Brian’s uncomplicated style into something that would feel naturally beautiful. We wanted our guests to feel comfortable and have a good time!” ~ Kit, Bride
How I Do Box brought the vision to life
We brought this vision to life with the use of gorgeous florals by Bouwer Flowers in earthy tones with pops of pink, orange and golden colour. The floral wedding arch was a stunning focus point at the ceremony. Seating pockets (furniture from Palm Event Hire) created a comfortable space for the pre-drinks. In the reception venue, ceiling suspended basketry and natural woven light shades combined with florals and greenery created a naturally beautiful ambiance. The florals brought the tables to life alongside simple and elegant candles in natural hues.
The bridal look
Kit looks exquisite in a classic white gown with a bouquet of baby’s breath, she was breathtaking. Her bridal party were timelessly beautiful in soft linen dresses.
A favourite memory from the day
“A family friend told us to take a moment, sit back, and look at the whole picture of the wedding. So after canapés and our couples shoot Brian, and I sat on the grass watching all our guests inside the Olive press reception area as the sun was beginning to go behind the Drakenstein mountains. The lights were on and we could see and hear the buzz of everyone having a good time - that is all we wanted.” ~ Kit
